Big News!!

Sorry I am still not good at this whole blogging thing! Hopefully once I get used to being back and in a schedule I will remember to do it more often! I have been super busy the past few weeks! I moved back and have been going ever since! My mom and Aunt came to visit, then Chris and I went to Talladega so he could do a ride-a-long, and then a quick trip home!!

Wedding season is officially upon us!! Bridesmaids dresses, showers, the whole deal!! My brother is getting married in less than 2 months and then my roommate is getting married July 24th! Its going to all go by so fast so I am trying to enjoy every last minute of it!

The biggest news yet!! I am going to be a Kindergarten Teacher next fall!!! I just found out this past Monday and I can barely contain myself! I have officially started the count down!! Only 4 more months!! YAY! I have loved all my classes and I cant wait to put the things I am learning into action! I am working at a private school in Mountain Brook!

I have also made some plans for living! Susan and I are moving into a two bedroom apt in June! Its great! I feel like everything is finally falling into place! This past year has been a whirlwind but I am finally where I am supposed to be!!! Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Sweet Home Alabama!

The first thing I did when I got back to Birmingham was drive around! I love it here!! Being away made me realize just how much I love everything here! My friends, the food, my apt, being away made me realize just how happy being in Birmingham makes me!! Since I have been back I started Nannying and I started school! I never thought I would be excited about starting school but I am!! I am excited because I know I will be teaching in the near future and I am so excited!! The family I am Nannying for is great! I work Monday-Friday 7:30 to 5:30 so the days are long but the kids are young so they sleep a good bit of the day and I don't have to work weekends!!! Its beautiful here today so I am going to go enjoy SOHO square and grab lunch with friends!! Hope all is well!!!

Full Circle!

Well its been awhile since I posted anything, exactly 3 months! Since then I have started my job at Healthways, moved to Franklin, and decided this isn't were I wanted to be! SO I a moving back to Birmingham TOMORROW! I am moving back in with Julie and Susan! I cant wait!

I am starting my Masters of Early Childhood Education on Monday and my new job! I am going to be Full time Nanny and Student! I finally figured out what I want to do! I wish I had know back when I started college...oh well... I do love my Nutrition & Dietetics degree!

On the other hand I have started painting! I really enjoy this and I am learning and getting better and better with each painting! I have started selling my paintings and have had a few offers to sell them in stores! So we'll see!!

On this blog I am going to keep everyone up to date on what I am doing! New recipes I am going try.... Art...School...the family I am Nannying for...and whats next for me! By November 2010 I will be a certified teacher and will hopefully be working in the classroom as an Assistant Teacher next fall!!

New Beginnings!

I am starting this blog to talk about my new adventures, work, cooking, health tips, and to share my photography and paintings! I am moving out on my own to Franklin, TN in a week and figured this would be a good time to start a blog so friends and family could keep up with me. As most of you know I recently graduated from Samford University with a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. I will be starting work November 30 at Healthways as a Health Coach. At Healthways I will be working with patients that are at risk for heart disease, diabetes, etc helping them maintain a healthy lifestyle. I am very excited and can't wait to get to Franklin! My parents and I are moving up on Friday! I will post pictures and blog after we get up there and get settled! Have a Happy Thanksgiving!!!
